Welcome Winter Sunset

This site is a compilation of the research I have done on the Grenfell Family genealogy for our family. The research is based on extensive references which I have included at the end for those who would like to continue the pursuit.

This view of St. Ives Cornishlight to your right is as it would have been seen by many of our relatives who lived in the Stennack section of St. Ives. Most of this line of the Grenfell family (and there were many in Cornwall) were either tin miners or sailors. The Rowes and Cowlings, two other family names, hailed from the same area. The picture at the bottom of this page depicts the row houses found in the Street-an-Garrow section, where the Cowlins and Grenfells resided, though they moved about the neighborhood quite a bit. The Rowes from whom this family descended came from Paul, Cornwall. The Cowlings were from both St. Ives and St. Just in Penwith.

I will adding a link to a set of pages I'm building for Bernice's family shortly
