BIOGRAPHY: 

        Margaret married Charles Bogaert on 23 Apr 1902.  At the time of the 1910 Census, Margaret was 31 years old (born in Scotland, arriving in the United States in 1881), and living at 54 Dover Street, Waterbury, New Haven County, CT (4-WD - Series: T624; Roll: 141; Page: 110; District: 486), with her husband, Charles (32), a foreman in a tool making shop; and their children: Charles (6), and Margaret (3).

        At the time of the 1920 Census, Margaret was 40 years old, and living with her husband, Charles (41), a foreman at a brass factory; son, Charles Jr. (16); and daughter, Margaret (13), at 27 Laurel Street, Waterbury, New Haven County, CT (
1-WD - Series: T625; Roll: 194; Page: 282District #431 - pg. 32).

        At the time of the 1930 Census, Margaret was 50 years old, and living with her husband, Charles (51), a factory foreman at a metal factory, at at 27 Laurel Street, Waterbury, New Haven County, CT (
1-WD - Series: T626; Roll: 279; Page: 114; District: 209).

        She was listed in the Waterbury, Naugatuck, Watertown Directory,1948, as living with husband, Charles, at 27 Laurel Street, Waterbury, CT.  Their son, Charles Bogaert Jr., a teacher in Greenwich, CT, also lived there. 

DEATH: Margaret was a resident of Burlington, CT, at the time of her death, in Waterbury, CT, on 1 Dec 1956, at the age of 78. 

BURIAL: Margaret is buried at Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury, CT, in a family plot, with her husband, Charles E. (1877 - 1954), her son, Charles E. Jr.(1903 - 1972), and her Mother, Agnus Mullen (1859 - 1907).

BIOGRAPHY: 

        At the time of the 1910 Census, Charles was 6 years old, and living at 54 Dover Street, Waterbury, New Haven County, CT (4-WD - Series: T624; Roll: 141; Page: 110; District: 486), with his Father, Charles (32), a foreman in a tool making shop, his Mother, Margaret (31), and his sister, Margaret (3).

        At the time of the 1920 Census, Charles Jr. was 16 years old, and living with his Father, Charles (41), a foreman at a brass factory, his Mother, Margaret (40), and sister, Margaret (13), at 27 Laurel Street, Waterbury, New Haven County, CT (
1-WD - Series: T625; Roll: 194; Page: 282District #431 - pg. 32). 

        Charles graduated from Crosby High School in 1920, and from Harvard University in 1926. He got his MA from Harvard in 1927.

        In the Waterbury, Naugatuck, and Watertown, Connecticut City Directory, 1946, Charles was listed as being a teacher in NY, and renting at his parents' home, at 27 Laurel Street, Waterbury, CT. 

        In the Waterbury, Naugatuck, and Watertown, Connecticut City Directory, 1948, Charles was listed as being a teacher in Greenwich, CT, and renting at his parents' home, at 27 Laurel Street, Waterbury, CT, in 1948.

        Charles taught in several boys' prep schools and retired from Cheshire Academy in 1968.

DEATH: Charles died on 29 Feb 1972, in Vera Cruz, Mexico.

BURIAL: Charles is buried at Riverside Cemetery, Waterbury, CT, in a family plot, with his Father, Charles E. (1877 - 1954), his Mother, Margaret (1878 - 1956), and his grandmother, Agnes Mullen (1859 - 1907).

 

Margaret Bogaert

BIOGRAPHY: 

        At the time of the 1910 Census, Margaret was 3 years old, and living at 54 Dover Street, Waterbury, New Haven County, CT (4-WD - Series: T624; Roll: 141; Page: 110; District: 486), with her Father, Charles (32), a foreman in a tool making shop, her Mother, Margaret (31), and her brother, Charles (6).

        At the time of the 1920 Census, Margaret was 13 years old, and living with her Father, Charles (41), a foreman at a brass factory, her Mother, Margaret(40), and brother, Charles Jr. (16), at 27 Laurel Street, Waterbury, New Haven County, CT (
1-WD - Series: T625; Roll: 194; Page: 282District #431 - pg. 32).

        Margaret married Clement J. Mulligan (b 25 Jul 1905, Waterbury, CT; d 7 Sep 1986, Bristol, CT) on 12 Sept 1928.

        At the time of the 1930 Census, Margaret was 23 years old, and living at 96 Nilan Street, Hartford, CT (15-WD - Series: T626; Roll: 266; Page: 54; District: 86), with her husband, Clement (24), an inventory manager for Economy Grocery, and her daughter, Margaret, 5 months old.  Clement's parents were born in NJ.

        In later years, her husband, Clement, was a sales manager at First National.  The family moved to 89 Morningside Drive, in Bristol, CT, in 1942.

        Margaret and Clement had three children: Margaret (who later lived in Marion, CT; married name: Cayer), Thomas (who later lived in Forestville, CT), and Robert (who later lived in Lake Park, FL).  They had nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. 

DEATH: Margaret died at the age of 80, on 14 Jun 1987, at Bristol Hospital, Bristol, CT.

BURIAL: Margaret's funeral was on 16 Jun 1987 from O'Brien Funeral Home to St. Gregory Church, for a Mass at 10:00. Burial was in St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington, CT.
